Meanwhile, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon, a man who had previously had leprosy. While he was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard. She broke open the jar and poured the perfume over his head. Mark 14:3
Alabaster jar - In the days Jesus was on earth, when a young woman reached the age of availability for marriage, her family would purchase an alabaster jar for her and fill it with precious ointment. This alabaster jar would be part of her dowry. When a young man came to ask for her in marriage she would respond by breaking it at his feet. This gesture of anointing his feet showed him honor.
The woman in Mark 14:3 took her alabaster jar with all her hopes and dreams of marriage and gave it to Jesus! Like serious props to her!! I never knew the significance of this verse and thanks to “Lady in Waiting” by Debbie Jones and Jackie Kendall I do now.

God deserves everything. We shouldn’t just give Him our hurts and struggles, we should give Him our hopes and dreams too. I know they’re safe in His hands.
Do not be afraid. For it gives your Father great pleasure to give you the Kingdom. Luke 12:32
But in order for Him to give us the Kingdom and all His inconceivable blessings, we need to give everything to Him. OHHH and as hard as it is, it’s going to be soo worth it dude!!I agree completely, but this does suck
